Welcome to Beechcliffe Schools website.

At Beechcliffe School our mission is to provide a safe and joyful learning environment that empowers our pupils to reach their intellectual, physical and personal potential, whilst nurturing their self - confidence and self- esteem.
We strongly believe that all pupils can achieve and that education for all should be an engaging fun experience where pupils have a voice and are active members of their educational journey. Beechcliffe teachers and all staff are dedicated to ensuring pupils are happy in school whilst having high expectations of the progress pupils will make.
Our curriculums are based around the different educational development stages specific groups of pupils are working within and offer a rich, stimulating and relevant basis upon which to learn. We have highly motivated and trained staff that ensure all pupils educational, physical and health needs are met in an environment based upon respect and positive relationships.

Beechcliffe School is a purpose built generic special school which first opened in April 2011.Our school was built under the PFI building schools for the future programme and I was fortunate enough to be involved in the design from the beginning of the build. Compromises had to be made along the way but we are very proud of what we have achieved. We now have a school which meets the needs of a generic population in an engaging and stimulating environment in which all pupils have access to our fantastic resources which help them to stay healthy, learn and become as independent as possible ready to progress onto adulthood.
We are co – located with a secondary mainstream school and although the two schools are separately managed links between the schools have been formed. As heads we meet regularly to share information which is pertinent to both schools. Some off our teachers have also shared our knowledge of working with pupils who have Special Educational Needs to support and give ideas to colleagues working within mainstream settings.

We hope you find everything you require, however, we are always open to suggestions and would like to hear from you if you have ideas you could share in relation to what you would like to see on the website.
